This month a new cohort of Global Women Activate Leaders are launching a series of seminars. Here’s a run-down on what to expect from the team and with only limited tickets left to the free event you’ll need to be quick.
The goal of the events is to Connect - kanohi ki te kanohi, creating meaningful connections with other women to inspire and support each other.
We know that there are two stage-gates in most of our careers - on the way in (to a first time role; returning to work or after a major change in direction) and on the way up (through from middle management to the executive and board room).
Our two evenings are called ‘Stepping In’ (10th Oct) and ‘Stepping Up’ (24th Oct) and each has short-talks from inspiring leaders and a networking opportunity over refreshments afterwards. The short-talks cover a wonderful series of themes such as ‘building my resilience, ‘breaking free from negative self-talk’, ‘Māori leaders break-through’, ‘#metoo - finding your voice’ and ‘how to learn to love networking’.
The first event kicks off on 10 October and will be an opportunity to hear from a range of speakers about their personal experiences which we can all relate to through our working or personal lives.
Speakers on the 10th include:
Shivonne Londt - Stepping in when you’re told you can’t; reflections on my journeyhttps://www.linkedin.com/in/shivonne/
